Job Description:
•This is a contract through end of year with great possibility to extend or be brought on full time• Overview The Quality Control Manager is responsible for leading overall laboratory operations and managing the Quality Control (QC) department. This role ensures that finished products, raw materials, and packaging materials are tested in accordance with company procedures, GMP principles, and production planning requirements. The Quality Control Manager assigns and oversees QC work to support production and logistics schedules while maintaining compliance, efficiency, and quality standards. Key Responsibilities Coordinate and oversee QC testing of finished products, raw materials, and packaging materials to support production and packaging schedules. Ensure all products are tested according to approved methods and in alignment with planning schedules provided by the Logistics department. Maintain and ensure accuracy, compliance, and currency of all laboratory test methods, procedures, specifications, and controlled documents in accordance with GMP and applicable compendial requirements. Ensure compliance with relevant quality standards and manage changes to the Quality Management System (QMS) within the scope of the QC department. Develop, implement, and maintain laboratory systems to ensure efficient, safe, and compliant operations. Perform document review and approvals as required by the organization's Document Control and Quality Systems. Provide leadership, direction, and supervision to QC personnel to ensure consistent performance and adherence to quality standards. Qualifications Minimum of 6 years of experience in quality control or laboratory operations. At least 2 years of supervisory or people-management experience. Bachelor's degree or equivalent education required. Strong knowledge of GMP, quality systems, and laboratory compliance standards.
