Full Job Description Description:

Duties and Responsibilities Responsible for the daily operation of the Quality Assurance team and activities, makes work assignments as needed to meet production and Program Participant needs. Nonconformance and Corrective action process. Internal Auditing program. Preventive Action and Continuous Improvements Departmental Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Provides training and feedback to direct reports to achieve results. Supports the Quality Manager in maintaining & improving the Quality Management System Participates in safety and quality investigations and recommends corrective action. Provides training to Orion staff and recommends qualification on specific processes and equipment as identified on qualification matrix. Leads departmental 6s activities to meet requirements. Responsible for making time & labor corrections in Paylocity and Epicor for direct reports. Responsible for performance evaluations, improvement plans and disciplinary actions for direct reports. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Qualifications Minimum 3 years of experience in a Quality Assurance role Minimum of 2 years leadership experience Experience supporting & conducting AS9100 audits is preferred. Internal Auditor or Lead Auditor certificate preferred, or equivalent experience conducting and leading internal audits along with creating audit checklists & schedules. Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T), standard aerospace inspection methods, ability to interpret blueprints and specifications. Familiarity with Boeing Portal, SQIS, and Exostar Problem solving skills. Ability to work independently as well as collectively. Customer service skills; able to relate well to all customers internal as well as external customers.
