Paid Time Off 401k 401k Matching Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Group Life Insurance Short Term Disability Long Term Disability EAP Summary The Quality Assurance Supervisor supports the Quality Assurance Manager and Quality organization by supervising a variety of inspection tasks related to product assurance, as well as quality system and regulatory compliance. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Perform Product Quality Control In-Process, and Final Inspections as necessary.
  • Issue Release to Service certification documents when applicable.
  • Supervises and manage daily inspection department activities.
  • Serve as a liaison between Quality and other Departments to ensure that discrepancies are addressed and corrected in a timely manner.
  • Coordinating and assisting the actions of inspectors and auditors to monitor quality activities and ensuring materials and work packages meet customer & regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure proper documentation of non-conformances, rejected items and scrap items as necessary.
  • Provides technical support for quality control functions including In-Process Inspections and Final/Conformity inspections and assists with Receiving Inspections.
  • Assists the Quality Assurance Manager in ensuring pertinent FAA Regulations and Airworthiness Directives are available and complied including internal audits (AS9100, FAA Part21, FAA Part145).
  • Assist with (and back up) Internal Audits.
  • Writing of Corrective and Preventative action forms, tracking, follow through by production, and spreadsheet.
  • Collecting, documenting, sending to testing facility, and result tracking of all bi-monthly corrosion resistance testing.
  • Assist with revisions to VT Volant quality documents and forms.
  • Ensure that monthly Trend Analysis reporting is complete and submitted for monthly Quality KPI reporting.
  • Assisting in both customer and FAA audits. Non-Essential Functions

Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education and/or Experience Minimum 3 years' experience in manufacturing, or quality, preferably in an aerospace Repair Station or Manufacturing environment. Minimum 5 years' inspection experience including use of blueprints and inspection equipment (scales, calipers, etc.). Experience in the inspection and certification of Production parts is preferred. Language Skills Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Mathematical Skills Basic math skills required, including multiplication, division, etc. Ability to work with fractions decimals as it relates to blueprint reading and specification interpretation. Reasoning Ability Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Computer Skills Basic computer skills, (MS Office, etc.). Previous MRP experience is helpful. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations A&P License or certification as an FAA Repairman or the ability to obtain certification in a timely manner is required. Other Skills and Abilities Leadership and training skills as necessary to help direct and coach other inspectors on proper procedures and inspection methods. Blueprint reading and interpretation. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
