Job Description

Wyckoff Farms Inc is a large, vertically integrated, Eastern Washington agricultural, food & beverage processing organization in search of a Quality Assurance Lead to join our IQF team. Job Description This position reports to the Director of QA/QC and the Quality Assurance Manager and leads the daily operations of the Quality Assurance function in a manner as to ensure the manufacture of safe, quality product that meets all company, customer, and regulatory food safety and quality standards. The Quality Assurance Supervisor will assist in developing and maintaining policies, procedures and documentation. The Quality Assurance Supervisor must be able to interact across inter-departmental boundaries in a professional, proactive manner, avoiding conflicts and exemplifying a collaborative spirit. Duties may include and are not limited to the following.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Effectively direct, coordinate, and schedule all activities of plant QA personnel in order to ensure that all GMP, Food Safety and Quality Management programs are carried out in accordance with company policy requirements and best industry practices. Effectively lead plant QA staff in a manner as to ensure effective and efficient support of plant operations and the consistent manufacture of safe quality food product. Inform and advise the Director of QA/QC and Operations leadership in all matters related to Food Safety and Quality. Responsible for assuring effective and accurate testing, reporting, and verification monitoring of raw material and finished product quality. Responsible for carrying out training for all plant team members including production personnel and QA staff. Must be able to effectively train others on SOP's and QA Programs. Assist the Director of QA/QC in the development and maintenance of systems for establishing and verifying process control and conformance to product quality specifications. Assist the Director of QA/QC with developing, implementing, maintaining, and continuously improving pre-requisite programs, Food Safety Plans, Food Quality Plans, and other programs. Actively participate in development and oversight of all analytical, microbiological, and sensory testing protocols in a manner as to assure food safety and quality conformance. Anticipate and resolve quality related issues including root cause analysis and corrective and preventative action implementation. Participate in all facility audits (BRC, AIB, and 3rd Party Audits) as well as all local/State/Federal regulatory agencies visits. Schedules and conduct Internal Food Safety, Quality and GMP audits. Communicate all findings in an effective manner to Director of QA/QC and Operational Leadership. 12. Must be able to interact with all Production Supervisors and Leads in a positive and effective manner. 13. Reports daily activity results to Director of
QA/QC. 14.
Responsible for ensuring the employees follow GMP and Safety protocols. 15. Perform daily review of all Quality records. 16. Maintains, assures verification and archives all food safety and quality related data in an organized manner. 17. Monitor HACCP critical control points. 18. Maintain Positive Release and Hold & Release program. 19. Maintain a clear understanding of customer requirements. 20. Enforces all company rules in a fair and consistent manner. Create a positive working environment for all associates; one that supports continual improvement, reinforces company philosophy and policies, and ensures that every individual is treated with respect. 21. Good floor and lab presence to ensure expectations are being demonstrated. 22. Complete special projects, duties and assignments as required.

Work Environment :
  • Our Shifts During Non-Harvest Times Late August-May are 10 hr. shifts Monday through Thursday 6 A.M. to 4:30 P.M.
  • Harvest times Normally late June to Mid-August will be 12 hour shifts 7 days a week. 6 A.M. to 6 P.M. and 6 P.M. to 6 A.M.
  • Production food manufacturing environment with large scale equipment.
  • Moving machinery.
