This position is employed by Gladiator Technologies, LLC, though the role will include performing shared service work for LKD Aerospace, LLC. Reporting directly to the CEO, this position will maintain multiple quality management systems, as required by regulatory and industry standards, administer the company employee orientation and continuation training plans and schedules, maintain employee training records, and submit PMA applications to the FAA as necessary within a fast-paced complex manufacturing, repair and distribution organization. Essential Duties and Functions Ensures that processes needed for the quality management system are established, implemented, and maintained. Ensures Quality Management System (QMS) compliance with FAA (MIDO and FSDO) as well as PMA and EASA regulatory requirements. Maintains and ensures compliance with AS9100D and ISO9001 3rd party certified Quality Management System specifications and requirements. Approves all vendors to company quality standards. Initiate, review and approve corrective action reports. Record and implement any required process changes. Schedules and performs quality process and procedure audits, vendor audits, and ERP QA maintenance. Administers customer, industry and regulatory audits, including any required follow-up activity. Reports to top management on the performance of QMS, noting needed improvements, and compiling and creating QA reports and operations metrics. Administers the company employee orientation and maintains employee training plans, schedules, and records. Documents control administration including processing change requests. Maintains electronic records archives in compliance with company and FAA requirements. Oversees and performs inspection activities for in-process, receiving, and shipping procedures. Acts as a liaison with external parties such as customers or external auditors on matters relating to the QMS. Creates and submits PMA applications to FAA. Read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings and blueprints. Perform work on weekends and evenings as needed to meet applicable deadlines. Performs all other related duties as assigned. Education/Experience Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferred Experience/Knowledge At least 5 years management experience with FAA and industry quality assurance systems and/or 8 years of progressively responsible quality management experience is preferred. Knowledge of or experience with Document Control Administration in an FAA manufacturing and repair organization. Knowledge of or experience with FAA DMIR or any other FAA designation. Knowledge of or experience with FAA and industry quality assurance systems. Knowledge of or experience with FAA PMA processes. Knowledge of or experience with FAA DER. Other Skills and Abilities Strong computer skills and use of Microsoft Office Suite is required, familiarity with MRP/ERP systems is preferred. Ability to pro-actively prioritize multiple tasks, while maintaining strong organization, a commitment to safety, attention to detail, and a positive attitude in a fast-paced and continually changing environment. Ability to work cooperatively in a small team environment and have strong ethics to do what is right for the customer, the company, and fellow employees. Certifications and Licenses This position does not require specific certifications or licenses. Location and Work Environment The position is full-time on-site in Snoqualmie, WA, though may require 10% travel, including international trips as needed. The work is typically performed in an office environment, with a moderate noise level. Frequent presence in the manufacturing area is required, where noise levels range from moderate to loud and may include dust, vibration, and potential chemical exposure that is typical for a small component production environment. The role involves frequent communication, both in-person and via phone or Teams, with individuals and groups. The candidate must be able to read and respond to documents in both hard copy and electronic formats. The position may require occasionally lifting materials up to 50 lbs. and performing tasks that involve bending, kneeling, stretching, and standing during shifts. Compensation and Benefits The compensation range for this position is $110,000 to $155,000 and is based on experience level and credentials.
