Job Description

Summary Lindquist Machine Co., LLC is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Technician who can assist with and build upon our reputation of delivering Excellent Customer Service. The ideal candidate is an exceptionally organized, methodical professional who has the experience necessary to help take our organizations to the next level in quality, on-time delivery, and exceptional customer experiences. The QA Technician will assist with maintaining both our ISO and NQA-1 Quality Assurance programs, that not only safeguards product quality but also fosters a culture in which all employees are actively engaged.
Objectives:
  • Interpret, build upon, and comply with both company and code quality assurance standards.
  • Maintain complaint and nonconformance processing through records and tracking systems, including root-cause analysis and corrective actions
  • Document quality assurance activities with internal reporting and audits
  • Develop improved standards for production and design, and create testing protocols for implementation across all departments
  • Identify, develop and document training needs and take action to ensure companywide compliance to quality assurance program requirements.
  • Pursue continuing education in new solutions, technologies, and skills
  • Assist LMC team in understanding project specific requirements and educating the team to these requirements & standards.
Responsibilities:
  • Assist, Plan, execute, and oversee LMC quality assurance programs for conformance to codes, standards, specifications and customer requirements/deliverables.
  • Assist, Plan, execute, and oversee personnel for product inspection and testing for quality and conformance to specifications and deliverables
  • Assist operations by tracking, documenting, and reporting quality issues as well as safety KPIs
  • Assist in auditing LMC's vendors for compliance to NQA-1, quality, on-time delivery and overall performance.
  • Investigate reports of product quality issues and ensure resolution in accordance with company guidelines and regulatory requirements
  • Develop and update procedures for the capture, investigation, and documentation of product complaints
  • Participate in Corrective Actions & Root Cause Analysis
  • Assist in leading internal and external audits for both NQA-1 and ISO Quality Assurance programs along with maintaining LMC's Quality Policies & related documents
  • Assist with Continuous Improvement efforts throughout organization
  • Assist with implementing 6S programs within LMC
Required Skills:
  • Deep knowledge of ASME and ISO Quality Assurance codes, standards, terminology, methods, and tools.
  • Ability to comprehend weld symbols, finish requirements, drawing dimensions and tolerance symbols (GD&T).
  • Ability to comprehend code books, standards, customer requirements/specifications and perform training to and within the organization to educate others.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Proficiency in best practices for testing, version control, and defect management
  • Knowledge/experience in review and creating manufacturing plans for government & nuclear contracts
  • Knowledge/experience in reviewing and developing weld procedures to AWS and ASME Section IX
  • Knowledge/experience in NDE to ASME Section V.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in relevant field, or relevant experience
  • 5 years of quality assurance program management
  • 5 years of manufacturing experience in welding or machining
  • Understanding of lean manufacturing and how QA functions within it
  • Professional certification, such as
Six Sigma, CQE, or CQA EOE/Vets/Disability Pay:
$80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
