Summary QC Manager will have the opportunity to develop talented employees, maintain world-class quality systems, and ensure customer expectations are consistently exceeded. Incumbent will serve as the critical link between plant operations, suppliers and customers. Success will require a balance of technical expertise, leadership, communication, and collaboration.
Your role and responsibilities:
Manage continuity of
ISO 9001
certification and
ISO 17025
accreditation. Investigate (and correct) customer issues and complaints relating to quality. Supervise workers engaged in inspection and testing activities to ensure high productivity and high technical integrity. Develop and analyze statistical data and product specifications to determine standards and to establish quality and reliability expectations of finished products. Formulate, document and maintain quality control standards, inspection criteria and procedures. Coordinate objectives with production procedures in cooperation with plant managers to maximize product reliability and minimize costs. Apply total quality management tools and approaches to analytical and reporting processes. Interact with vendors to ensure quality of all purchased parts. Design, develop and implement quality control training programs and maintain active role on internal continuous improvement teams. What is required for this role: Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous quality management experience in manufacturing/industrial, military or energy environment required. ASQ Certification and Lean Six Sigma experience strongly preferred. Experience with ISO 9001 and
ISO 17025
accreditation required. Quality systems and project management experience required. Strong analytical and statistical analysis skills with the ability to identify trends and drive improvements. Passion for developing people and building high-performing teams. Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to quality and service excellence. Must be authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future and willing to travel up to 10%. What about you?
