Quality Control Manager Hot Job Sparta Division - Sparta, WI 54656 Apply Overview Position Type Full Time Apply Description Reporting to the Northern Engraving business unit Quality Control Manager, and Plant Manager for our Sparta location, the Plant Quality Manager will oversee the operation and administration of the Quality team and initiatives. Development and achievement of strategic objectives related to quality, cost, and delivery is imperative to ensure the organization is a Best in Class manufacturer. Partnering with the manufacturing team, the Quality Manager will drive continuous improvement initiatives toward the achievement of growth targets, positive customer relations, and industry leading product Quality and Reliability.
Qualifications Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead quality team, setting strategic goals and guiding continuous improvement initiatives Provide leadership and strategic direction for the quality function while ensuring proper interface and communication with manufacturing, program management, engineering, sales, and supply chain Ensure internal processes and metrics are aligned to create the highest product quality and competitive advantage Administer the Quality Management System at the location, and ensure industry and customer required certifications are maintained (i.e. TS/IATF, ISO, Q1, etc.) Build strong relationships with the customer supplier quality, purchasing, and engineering organizations Ensure customer requirements are well understood, communicated, and adhered to Formulate and maintain quality objectives complementary to corporate policies, procedures, and goals Build a strong, high performing quality team with a clear vision and mission to support company growth Interpret quality control philosophy to key personnel within the organization Review the analysis of customer returns and excess quality cost reports, ensuring trends are identified and proper corrective actions are implemented Coordinate objectives with production procedures in cooperation with management team to maximize product reliability and minimize costs Monitor customer scorecards to ensure metrics exceed expectations, critical for new business sourcing Maintain a high level of customer service and organizational support Work closely with cross-functional teams Other duties and tasks as assignedSkills and Qualifications:
Minimum of Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, or related field, Master's degree preferred Excellent verbal and written communication skills with team members, peers, vendors and customers Ability to effectively manage change Critical thinking and reasoning skills, ability to identify weaknesses and strengths of alternative solutions or approaches to opportunities Experience supporting customers in various industries, experience in an automotive OEM supply environment required Knowledge of TS/IATF, ISO, and automotive OEM certification requirements Demonstrated success leading multi-location, cross-functional quality teams Strong computer skills, experience with Microsoft Office products, ability to develop presentations Willingness and ability to travel as required Demonstrated experience with problem solving techniques and core quality tools Strong and proven leadership characteristics and ability Minimum of ten (10) years of quality experience which includes five (5) years of Quality management and leading teams Certified Manager of Quality/Certified Quality Engineer (CMQOE, CQE) strongly preferred Shainin or Six Sigma Green Belt certification required #NEIND1 Share job details to AboutNORTHERN ENGRAVING CORPORATION
