Job Overview Are you a quality leader who thrives on developing people, improving processes, and building strong partnerships across an organization? We are seeking a Quality Control Manager to lead a high-performing Quality team while serving as the critical link between plant operations, suppliers, and customers. In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop talented employees, maintain world-class quality systems, and ensure customer expectations are consistently exceeded. Success will require a balance of technical expertise, leadership, communication, and collaboration. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable coaching employees within the Quality team, out on the production floor and partnering with Sales and Operations leadership, to resolve challenges and strengthen relationships to meet external customer expectations. What You'll Do Lead and Develop a High-Performing Team Provide leadership, coaching, and development for a team of Quality Control Technicians. Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, continuous improvement, and customer focus. Establish clear performance expectations and support employees through training, mentoring, and ongoing development. Promote employee engagement while maintaining a safe, collaborative, and positive work environment. Serve as the Voice of the Customer Drive a culture focused on delivering exceptional internal and external customer satisfaction. Investigate, resolve, and communicate quality-related customer concerns in a timely and professional manner. Translate customer expectations into actionable quality standards and operational improvements. Build strong partnerships across internal functional areas while ensuring alignment with business and operational objectives. Manage Quality Systems and Compliance Lead and maintain the company's
ISO 9001
certification and
ISO 17025
accreditation programs. Ensure compliance with established quality standards, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Develop, document, and maintain quality control systems, objectives, and performance metrics. Create, implement, and continuously improve inspection criteria, testing procedures, and quality documentation. Communicate quality philosophies, standards, and expectations throughout the organization. Drive Continuous Improvement and Operational Excellence Analyze statistical data, product performance, and process trends to identify improvement opportunities. Lead root cause investigations, corrective actions, and preventive actions to improve quality and reliability. Partner closely with Production and Plant Leadership to maximize product quality while minimizing operational costs. Apply quality management tools, statistical methodologies, and continuous improvement principles to enhance performance. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement quality improvement initiatives. Provide Technical Leadership Supervise inspection and testing activities to ensure technical integrity and efficiency. Deliver technical expertise and statistical support to manufacturing and business teams. Oversee quality inspections throughout the production lifecycle. Work with suppliers and vendors to ensure incoming materials and purchased components meet quality requirements. Develop and deliver quality training programs that strengthen organizational capabilities and promote best practices. What We're Looking For Leadership & Communication Proven experience leading, developing, and motivating teams. Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships and collaborate across operations, sales, customers, and suppliers. Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels. Previous leadership training and supervisory experience required. Excellent project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Technical Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. ASQ Certification strongly preferred. Quality management experience in a manufacturing, military, energy or related technical environment required. Experience maintaining
ISO 17025
accreditation required. Experience with
ISO 9001
quality management systems required. Project management experience. Strong analytical and statistical analysis skills with the ability to identify trends and drive improvements. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Outlook. Able to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now, or at any point in the future.
