Job Description

The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for performing incoming, in process and return to service with 8130 generation and quality control activities throughout the maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) process to ensure all work complies with FAA regulations, technical data, and Airside MRO's approved manuals and procedures. This role plays a critical part in supporting the safe return-to-service of aircraft components and articles by verifying conformity, documentation accuracy, and regulatory compliance. Your role will take you to new heights, as you will be tasked with these essential job responsibilities: Comply with all applicable Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs), Airside MRO procedures, and OSHA requirements Conducts internal audits of maintenance documentation for accuracy and completion Perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspections to verify conformity of components, assemblies, and articles Apply appropriate inspection methods to ensure products meet approved technical data, and work scope requirements Approve or reject parts and articles based on inspection results and regulatory standards Identify non-conforming conditions and coordinate with the Chief Inspector to determine appropriate disposition (repair, rework, or scrap) Accurately document inspection results, measurements, and findings in maintenance records and quality reports Prepare and complete required inspection documentation in accordance with FAA, EASA, and company standards Perform incoming, in process and return to service inspections in accordance with Airside MRO's Repair Station Quality Control Manual (RSQCM), CASE, and EASA manuals Support warranty inspections and disposition processes assigned Verify that maintenance personnel perform work using correct approved technical data and approved procedures Mentors technicians on effective documentation Ensure availability and proper use of required special tooling and calibrated inspection equipment Perform other duties as assigned To succeed in this role, you will need to have: Strong verbal and written communication skills Solid understanding of aviation quality control and inspection principles Knowledge of FAA regulations, repair station operations, and MRO processes High attention to detail with strong organizational and documentation skills Ability to analyze inspection findings and identify root causes of non-conformances Proficiency in inspection tools, measurement equipment, and techniques Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and manuals Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) or similar systems for reporting and documentation Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams We significantly value our employees and believe in compensating each with a substantial benefits and compensation package including: Generous Medical, Dental, Vision, Life and Short-Term Disability coverage (Employer pays 100% of employee premiums) 401(k) Plan with Employer Contribution Profit Sharing and Bonus opportunities Voluntary ancillary plans including Life Insurance, Accident and Hospital coverage Paid Time Off and Paid Holidays FAA/DOT Drug and Alcohol Testing Program This position is subject to the Department of Transportation (DOT) and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) drug and alcohol testing regulations as outlined in 49 CFR Part 40 and Part 120. Employees in safety-sensitive positions may also be subject to random, reasonable suspicion, post-accident, return-to-duty, and follow-up testing as required by law. Pay:
$27.00 - $37.00 per hour
