II . WHAT YOU WILL DO
As the Quality Control Inspector II , responsibilities will include but may not be limited to: Perform diversified granite rock or bench inspections on a variety of standard or custom aerospace parts, products, assemblies, or raw materials that are being used in manufacturing products. Uses a variety of precision measuring instruments, including electronic devices. Read and interpret aerospace drawings, specifications and customer documents. Inspect product to verify correct color, finish, dimensions, hardness, density or other measurable or observable characteristics of material. Perform detailed first article inspections following the installation of full assembly. Recommend, write or modify sampling and inspections procedures. Use statistical tools to chart variance. Work with internal inspectors and operations personnel to ensure product manufactured meet customer requirements. Support cross-functional teams in the execution and reporting of quality improvement projects with a focus on overall process improvements, scrap reduction and supplier quality improvement.
ABOUT YOU
High School diploma or GED required. Three or more years of relevant industry. Able to interpret aerospace blueprints and GD&T blueprints. Able to read and comprehend work documentation in the English. Proficient in PC skills (Microsoft Office Suite applications). Familiar with first Piece inspection, GD & T, Operating a CMM and mechanical inspection/surface plate layout. Self-motivated individual that needs minimal supervision to be successful. Knowledge of AS9100 Audit Process. Knowledge of operating a CMM and mechanical inspection/surface plate layout. Requires strong attention to detail, organizational, time management and follow-up skills.
