Quality Engineering Technician I Position Summary/Essential Functions:
The Quality Engineering Technician will be responsible for learning and supporting QE activities related to dispositioning material discrepancy reports, work instruction updates, procedure/drawing updates, tooling design and organization (physical and database), and other Engineering activities that support Operations.
Responsibilities:
Approve parts dispositioned by Engineering on material discrepancy reports. Creates reports identifying MRB trends and opportunities for process improvements. Support QEs with airworthiness form corrections. Identifies and updates drawings / procedures / work instructions to clarify and standardize quality processes. Works with production cells and Quality Engineering to assess needs for safety, 5S, and process improvements related to quality compliance and yield. Provides support to Quality Engineering team to resolve TIB issues and anything impacting daily quality needs. Assists the QE with failure analysis and corrective action investigations by collecting, interpreting, and summarizing data.
Qualifications:
GED or HS diploma 2 years of related experience Blueprint reading and Component Maintenance Manual familiarization. Demonstrated active participation in team meetings, project teams, improvement efforts. Broad process experience including inspection, machining, flow test desired. Use of hand inspection tools.
