Reports to:

Quality manager

Responsibilities:

• Inspect precision sheet metal and machined parts to ensure conformity to all noted specifications.
• Inspect incoming material for conformity to purchase order requirements.
• Prepare 1st article reports from internal or customer documentation.

Minimum Educational Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED.

Minimum Previous Experience:

• At least 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment inspecting incoming and outgoing parts to drawing specifications.
• Understanding of different types of inspection equipment and how to use it, i.e. calipers, height gauge, gauge pins, micrometer, etc.
• Training on GD&T a plus.
• Training using a CMM or Optical comparator a plus.

Minimum Additional Training:

• Training using an Amada Fabri vision for flat pattern verification off laser and punch press.

Other Skills:

• Ability to read and understand blueprints and tolerances. GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) or FAIRs (First Article Inspection Reports), reading/inspection from a blueprint
• Understanding of basic trigonometry.
• Familiar with AS9100D standards and audit experience.
