Job Description

Overview We are seeking a skilled professional with a strong background in quality engineering, particularly within the aerospace sector. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in manufacturing processes and quality management systems, ensuring the highest standards of product precision and compliance. Responsibilities Review and establish manufacturing and inspection planning to ensure product precision, accuracy, and conformity to requirements. Utilize inspection practices and mechanical instruments, including CMMs, functional gauges, test fixtures, and electronic diagnostic instruments, to verify product conformity. Support customers and suppliers with technical information to ensure product or quality system conformance. Assist in developing process controls, such as Gage R&R, SPC, FMEA, and Fishbone Diagrams. Prepare and implement standard documentation for reporting variable test data, SPC, and detailed inspection plans. Assist in product and process disposition and root cause evaluations. Generate corrective and preventive actions based on root cause evaluations and support quality management system compliance, including audits. Participate in teams utilizing quality concepts, practices, and procedures for continuous improvement. Required Qualifications Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications. Fundamental knowledge of manufacturing processes, including machining and special processes like heat treatment, plating, and welding. Proficiency in interpreting GD&T per ANSI Y14.5 and utilizing internal and customer AVL requirements. Understanding of ISO 9001/2000 and AS 9100 quality management systems. Ability to analyze SPC data and conduct Gage R&R studies for manufacturing improvements. Basic communication skills and ability to develop rapport with colleagues in a team environment. High School Diploma or GED required. Minimum of 4-6 years of inspection or engineering experience in a manufacturing environment. Preferred Qualifications Experience with semiconductor products and/or aerospace products and assemblies. Knowledge of Quality Clinic and Star Databases, Dip Editor, Engage, and Online Receiving OMS. Ability to read and interpret customer-specified forms.
