Job Description

QUALITY INSPECTOR
This position is a full-spectrum interconnect manufacturer. It is a great place to work where ability and diligence are recognized and rewarded. Functions
  • Check dimensions against the controlling specification or drawing including visual inspection, gage checks, shippers, traceability, packing and other items.
  • Reviews job cards (travelers) for completion, job card revisions, in-process inspection marks, print revisions, etc.
  • Rejects parts following specific review and documentation requirements.
  • Ensures current inspection specifications are in use. Contacts appropriate party (e.g., engineering, designer, product manager, etc) for clarification.
  • Roams production floor whenever possible or as assigned to provide assistance to operators, assemblers and other production personnel with any issues they may have with product quality.
  • Interfaces with other employees including those in production, engineering, and operations.
  • Other duties as assigned. Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
  • MS Office (Word, Excel) skills.
  • Working knowledge of blueprint related skills including tolerances, plating allowances, revisions and revision control, and threading practices.
  • Experience with inspection tools including thread gages, block and gage pins, comparator, drop gages, micrometers, and Vernier calipers.
  • Required documentation skills include Statistical Process Control (SPC) data collection, purchasing documentation, rejection record/RMA-Return practices, lot traceability review, and the ability to understand a job card.
Work Experience:
Minimum of three years experience of working in a manufacturing environment in either the production or inspection areas.
