About the Role We're looking for a sharp, detail-oriented individual to join our manufacturing team in a newly created dual role. This position combines Quality Control Inspection with hands-on training to operate our robotic welder . You'll start by owning QC across the production floor, and as you get up to speed, you'll train directly on our robotic welder — learning programming basics, setup, fixturing, and operation. This is a real skills investment on our part, not a token perk: we need someone who wants to grow into running automated welding production, not just hear about it someday. You must have experience working in a physical manufacturing environment that includes Haas CNCs, lathes, and welding bays. What You'll Do Quality Control Coordinate and manage QC activities across the production floor, including first-piece inspection, in-process checks, and final inspection after paint or plating Maintain documentation, traceability records, and QC logs Support continuous improvement of inspection processes and standards Robotic Welding (Training Provided) Train to operate MSE's robotic welder Learn basic robot programming/teaching, fixture setup, and weld parameter adjustment Run production welds once trained, while continuing QC duties Perform quality checks on robotic weld output against spec Production Administration Manage work-order administration and production planning documentation Support scheduling, tracking, and communication across departments Keep production records accurate and up to date What We're Looking For Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Computer literate; confident using software for documentation and planning A quick learner who can think on their feet — this role requires picking up new equipment and technical skills on the job Prior experience in manufacturing and QC procedures Understanding of proper use of measurement tools — calipers, micrometers Mechanical aptitude and interest in welding/automated equipment; prior welding exposure is a plus but not required — we'll train the right person Willingness to split time between QC and robotic welding duties as production needs shift Experience with
