Job Description

Job Title:
Quality Inspector Job Description The Quality Final Inspector is responsible for ensuring that all finished products meet accurate procedures, drawings, specifications, and acceptability standards before shipping. This includes the inspection of Pressure Switches and Sensors. Responsibilities Perform final inspection of parts according to top level drawings of modest complexity, using standard assembly procedures and processes. Conduct final presentation of inspected products. Utilize working knowledge of First Article Inspection requirements per AS9102. Demonstrate proficiency in using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and comparators. Work from specifications, travelers, blueprints, and written or verbal instructions. Complete all final inspection steps, including reviewing travelers and documentation such as Certificates of Conformance (C of C), Raw Material Certs, AS9102, process certifications, and ATP. Perform visual inspection to verify all specified requirements are met before shipping. Understand and apply all related Work Instructions, Quality System Procedures, forms, AS9100, and quality management system protocols. Handle assignments that may involve specific assembly processes requiring training, such as test equipment, welding, and soldering. Possess knowledge of Receiving Inspection and Machine Shop Inspection processes as needed. Complete Customer Specific Source Delegate/Self-Release Training. Perform proficiency in customer-related portal activities such as eCofC, Over Inspection, Purchase Orders, and Job Release documents. Process scrap parts including generating Scrap Certifications and sending Warranty Replacement parts as part of the RMA process. Execute other related duties as required and assigned. Essential Skills High School Diploma. Minimum of two years of mechanical/electrical inspection experience in aerospace or related industry. Ability to work under minimal supervision. Proficiency in using basic inspection tools and computer knowledge. Ability to read and understand blueprints and government specifications. Working knowledge of Geometric Dimensional Tolerancing (GDT) and proficiency in reading blueprints. AS13001 Delegated Product Release Verification Certification may be required. Ability to operate a Keyence Machine. Additional Skills & Qualifications Training in specific assembly processes such as test equipment, welding, and soldering is beneficial. Why Work Here? Work Environment This role requires regular use of hands to finger, handle, or feel, and reaching with hands and arms. Employees are frequently required to walk and occasionally to stand and sit. The position involves lifting and moving up to 25 lbs. Vision requirements include peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Burbank, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
