Education Requirements High school diploma or GED required. Experience Requirements Minimum 5 years of quality inspection experience in the aerospace industry Experience with FAA Repair Stations preferred Knowledge of quality audits, cleanroom inspections, and aviation quality standards Strong written and verbal communication skills Excellent organizational and planning abilities Job Duties Perform receiving, in-process, and final inspections of aerospace components Verify material certifications, outside process certifications, and drawing requirements Complete first article inspections and related documentation Review engineering drawings and technical repair data Inspect repairs and verify compliance with FAA and customer requirements Complete Certificates of Conformance (C of C) and FAA forms as required Conduct cleanroom, NDT, and conformity inspections Perform repair station audits and quality reviews of travelers Prepare teardown reports and material discrepancy reports (MDRs) Support testing and inspection of aerospace systems and components Preferred Qualifications Previous quality inspection, quality assurance, manufacturing, or production experience is preferred. Technical training in manufacturing, quality assurance, or inspection procedures is beneficial. Experience performing first article, in-process, or final product inspections is beneficial. Knowledge of ISO standards, statistical process control, quality documentation, or corrective action procedures is considered an asset. Individuals who demonstrate accuracy, professionalism, and a commitment to producing high-quality work are well positioned for success as a Quality Inspector. Physical Capabilities Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform inspection activities throughout the shift. Ability to lift products or materials weighing up to 50 pounds when required. Ability to use precision measuring instruments and inspection equipment with accuracy. Ability to maintain visual focus and attention to detail while inspecting products in manufacturing or warehouse environments.
