$20.90 Day shift Position Summary The Receiving Inspector is responsible for inspecting incoming materials, components, and products to ensure they meet company quality standards and specifications before being accepted into inventory or production. Key Responsibilities Inspect incoming materials and components for quality, quantity, and compliance with specifications, drawings, and purchase orders Perform visual and dimensional inspections using measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.) Verify certifications, documentation, and material test reports (MTRs) as required Record inspection results accurately in inspection logs or quality systems Identify, document, and report non-conforming materials Coordinate with Quality, Purchasing, and Production teams regarding discrepancies Segregate and label rejected or non-conforming materials Ensure proper handling and storage of inspected materials Maintain inspection equipment and ensure calibration compliance Support continuous improvement and quality initiatives Qualifications High school diploma or GED 1-3 years of experience in quality inspection within a manufacturing environment Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications Familiarity with quality standards (ISO 9001 or similar) Basic computer skills (ERP systems, Microsoft Office) Skills & Competencies Strong attention to detail Knowledge of inspection tools and techniques Good communication and documentation skills Problem-solving ability Ability to work independently and in a team environment Working Conditions Manufacturing/warehouse environment Standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 lbs as needed Exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures Preferred Qualifications (Optional) Experience with ERP systems Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) Previous experience in incoming inspection or supplier quality
