Full Job Description Quality/Receiving Inspector Location:
Corona, CA Employment Type:
Full-Time We are looking for a Quality/Receiving Inspector. The Quality/Receiving Inspector is responsible for performing in-process and final inspections of aerospace and industrial components and assemblies to ensure compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements. This role supports AS9100 quality standards by verifying product conformity, documenting inspection results, and identifying nonconforming materials in a high-mix, mid-volume manufacturing environment.Requirements:
Key Responsibilities Perform receiving, in-process, first article (FAI), and final inspections of aerospace and industrial parts and assemblies, as assigned Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T requirements Use precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, bore gauges, and other inspection tools Document inspection results accurately and maintain traceability records Identify and segregate nonconforming material in accordance with company procedures Generate and support completion of First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR) per AS9102 Verify material certifications and documentation for compliance Support internal and external audits as required Communicate inspection results and quality concerns to production and quality engineering teams Educational Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required Technical or vocational training in quality inspection, manufacturing, or related field preferred Required Experience 2-5 years of quality inspection experience in aerospace or industrial manufacturing Experience performing dimensional inspections on precision machined components Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and GD&T Skills & Competencies Strong understanding of blueprint reading and GD&T Proficiency with precision measuring instruments High attention to detail and accuracy Ability to follow inspection procedures and documentation requirements Strong organizational and record-keeping skills Basic computer skills for data entry and documentation Ability to work independently and as part of a team Preferred Qualifications Experience in AS9100-certified environments Experience performing First Article Inspections (AS9102) Familiarity with CMM or FARO arm inspection equipment, as applicable Knowledge of material certifications and aerospace documentation requirements Certification such as ASQ CQT or equivalent preferred Working Conditions Manufacturing floor and inspection lab environment Exposure to machinery, noise, oils, and metal components Possible overtime during peak production periods Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods Ability to lift parts or inspection tools (up to 30 lbs) Repetitive hand and arm movements using measuring instruments Visual acuity to inspect detailed aerospace components Compliance & Other Requirements Adherence to AS9100 quality management system requirements Compliance with ITAR and export control regulations Ability to maintain accurate, audit-ready inspection records Ability to handle sensitive customer and technical documentation confidentially U.S. Person status may be required due to ITAR regulationsCompensation:
$17.00 to start, and after a successful 90 probationary period you'll receive a $1.50 increaseBenefits:
