Job Description:
The Quality Control Inspector (QA/QC) is responsible for implementing quality control and safety plans to ensurepliance with contract specifications, applicable regulations, andpany standards. This position inspects all phases of goods, services, and operations to verify conformity with established quality health, and safety requirements. The Quality Control Inspector (QA/QC) performs ongoing inspections to ensure all work meets contractual provisions, confirms that services listed on the performance requirement summary arepleted in satisfactory manner, and determines areas to be inspected- both scheduled and unscheduled- as well as the frequency of inspections. This position requiresmunicating deficiencies to appropriate personnel, maintaining Quality Control files, and documenting the results of inspections. Performs all other position -related duties and assigned or requested. A valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL-A) is required for this position to meet the scope of contract operations. Minimum Requirements High School graduate or equivalent. Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English. Able to operate and inspect machines or equipment to diagnose defects and submit a request for replacement parts. Dismantles and reassembles equipment, using hoists and hand tools. Examine parts for damage or excessive wear, using micrometers and gauges. Identify defective engines and subassemblies, such as transmissions, and tests overhauled equipment to ensure operating efficiency. Performs scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, repairs, and adjustments of all heavy machinery to ensure the equipment remains fully mission capable for mission support. Performs a variety of collateral duties such as handling, containment, clean-up and disposal of hazardous waste, etc. Operates all heavy equipment and forklifts up to and including 50,000 pounds lift capacity, and a variety of other equipment to trouble shoot faults and validate repairs. Understands and uses safety items and personal protective equipment (PPE) that is mandatory and actively supports the EHS safety program. Required to walk, stand, sit, and move about the property for long periods of time. Required to perform physical activities that require considerable use of the arms and legs and moving the entire body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, stooping to handle materials. Work in a noise level can range from minimal to intense. Able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Possess a Valid California Commercial Drivers' License (CDL).
