Summary:

The QC Inspector conducts basic inspections of amusement park ride wheels to ensure they meet quality standards.

Duties/ Responsibilities:

Support all Entry Level duties plus the following: Demonstrate the ability to perform detailed inspections and testing of amusement park ride wheels. Typically requires more advanced inspection techniques and tools (micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, bore gauges, height gauges, depth micrometers, thread gauges, gauge pins and FARO arm). Prepare and submit non-conformance documentation. Interpret technical drawings and specifications to ensure compliance. Must understand dimensional inspections, tolerances, and inspection methods. Document and analyze inspection data to identify trends and areas for improvement. Assist and support internal audits. Train and mentor entry-level inspectors. Collaborate with production and engineering teams to address quality issues. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. All other tasks assigned by Supervisors or Management.

Skills/Abilities:

An inspector should be able to interpret drawings that detail product specifications. Conduct inbound inspection of hubs for specific customers within a timely manner to ensure prompt order entry and completion. Read and interpret drawing specifications to determine necessary quality parameters. Must be able to read and interpret GD&T symbols and understand their application. Must be proficient in reading engineering drawings and blueprints. Ability to identify nonconforming parts and clearly communicate issues to production. Prepare non-conformance reports for disposition Inspect, test and sample material, assembled parts or products for defects and deviations from specifications Prepare detailed inspection reports for customer shipments, including all cert packages. Education:

Experience:

2 to 3 years of experience in a Manufacturing or Machine Shop environment (preferably with QC tasks). Experience performing first article, in process, and final inspections.

Education:

Job requirements may include an Associate Degree in a related field or equivalent job experience.

Physical Demands:

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform repetitive tasks while standing for extended periods. Position may require employee to be available to work extra hours, including possible weekend, depending on the Company and customer needs. Pay:

$20.00 - $21.00 per hour
