Role:
American Aircraft Products Inc. is looking for a skilled Check and Straightener to join our team in Gardena, CA. This is a hands-on role at the heart of precision aerospace manufacturing, where your attention to detail and craftsmanship directly impact the quality of our products. Responsibilities:
Inspect and check metal parts, assemblies, and components for dimensional accuracy and conformance to specifications Straighten bent, warped, or misaligned aerospace parts using presses, hand tools, and straightening equipment Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders to verify part geometry Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and dial indicators Document inspection results and non-conformances in accordance with quality control procedures Collaborate with production and quality teams to identify and resolve part defects Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with shop standards
Requirements:
Prior experience in aerospace, sheet metal, or precision manufacturing environment preferred Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings Proficiency with precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, dial indicators) Experience operating straightening presses or similar equipment is a plus Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards Ability to stand for extended periods and lift parts as required by the role Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively in a team-oriented shop environment
