  • $45.00 DOE Must have the personality and temperament to work as part of a team.
  • Use PC-DMIS software to create CMM programs for complex three-dimensional parts for consistent, accurate and efficient inspection.
  • Collaborate with other programmers, Machinists and Engineering team on manufacturing process development.
  • Work closely with Quality Control Inspectors on proving out new programs to the extent of having a robust, reliable and repeatable process.
  • Create and update detailed work instructions which could include text, sketches, and photographs.
  • Trouble shoot, up rev, improve and streamline existing CMM programs.
  • Prepare required inspection documentation such as written descriptions of inspection results including deviations from engineering specifications.
  • Maintain a clean work area ensuring strict adherence to the 5S Standards.
  • Comply with established safety directives.
  • Be familiar with Quality Management System requirements and follow procedures as applicable.
  • Maintain accurate time keeping.
  • Perform First Article (FA) inspection to validate product requirements without assistance.
  • Perform or assist with internal QMS audits.
  • Present hardware and documentation for source inspection review to customer and/or government representatives.
  • Assist in the training of other personnel as required.
  • Read and understand supplier performance data.
  • Perform calibration process.
  • Inspect complex machined and molded tools, fixtures, and parts using advanced measuring and layout instruments and equipment and visual and mechanical inspection methods.
  • Assist Engineering with special validation requirements (prototypes, pre-production builds; all of which may have limited information).
  • Work from written or verbal instructions, detailed engineering drawings and 3D models.
  • Set up, load programs and run a programmable CMM.
  • Participate when needed in design reviews on cross-functional teams to ensure that conformance to specification, inspect-ability, reliability, safety and quality system objectives are met. Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong PC-Dimas level 3 programmer with 7+ years metrology experience.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Possess excellent communication skills which include verbal and written to interface effectively with other employees or management.
  • Ability to identify inspection errors and initiate corrective actions.
  • Advanced GD&T interpretation skills.
  • Must be able to understand & follow quality processes and procedures.
  • Knowledge of Statistical Process Control tools (SPC).
  • Must be able to lift/pull/push up to 35 pounds.
  • Must be able to wear the necessary PPE (safety glasses, safety shoes, ear plugs, etc.)
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Overtime and weekends could be required during heavy workload or to meet special customer demands.
  • Exposure to shop elements such as noise, dust, and chemicals, with protective equipment provided as needed.
  • Ability to remain in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
  • Visual acuity to inspect parts and review detailed documents and reports.
  • Flexible to train in other work areas as needed.
