NxEdge - Morgan Hill Job Summary & Job Duties Must have the personality and temperament to work as part of a team. The Quality Control Inspector II performs inspections at various stages of assembly and manufacturing, including first article, in-process, and final inspections, of complex machined parts for conformance to specifications, with precision in execution and meticulous attention to detail.Salary Range:
$26.00 - $31.00 per hour - DOE Minimum Qualifications- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 1-year related experience.
- Demonstrated ability to accurately use common inspection instruments.
- Work with complex inspection plans and mechanical drawings (GD&T).
- Must be able to understand & follow quality processes and procedures.
- Use of common gages and measurement instruments for inspection purposes.
- Perform AQL sampling and procedures.
- Must be able to lift/pull/push up to 35 pounds.
- Must be able to wear the necessary PPE (safety glasses, safety shoes, ear plugs, etc.)
- Overtime and weekends could be required during heavy workload or to meet special customer demands.
- Exposure to shop elements such as noise, dust, and chemicals, with protective equipment provided as needed.
- Ability to remain in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
- Visual acuity to inspect parts and review detailed documents and reports.
- Flexible to train in other work areas as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Inspect complex machined and molded tools, fixtures, and parts using advanced measuring and layout instruments and equipment and visual and mechanical inspection methods.
- Prepare required inspection documentation such as written descriptions of inspection results including deviations from engineering specifications.
- Generate Discrepant Material Reports (DMR), process materials / items into and out of hold areas and verifies remediation actions completed per DMR instructions.
- Perform Quality transactions in ERP system (Epicor).
- Cooperate with and support Engineering and Manufacturing efforts.
- Maintain a clean work area ensuring strict adherence to the 5S Standards.
- Comply with established safety directives.
- Be familiar with Quality Management System requirements and follow procedures as applicable.
- Maintain accurate time keeping.
- Perform critical quality-testing activities on projects covering mechanical installations and hardware testing.
- Perform First Article (FA) inspection to validate product requirements with little to no assistance.
- Apply established inspection procedures and recommend changes to inspection formats and procedures to improve quality process.
- Perform or assist with internal QMS audits.
- Operate CMM in manual mode to setup part programs to be ran in auto mode as directed in program.
