Job Description

Quality Control Inspector, $22-$25
Hour Location:
Murrieta, CA Schedule:
5am-3:30pm M-Thurs and 5am-1:30pm Fri. Flex for OT and Saturdays. Overview of Position The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for receiving, in-process, and final inspections throughout the manufacturing process. This position operates in a manufacturing and warehouse environment and may require work around fabrication, welding, machining, assembly, testing, and material-handling operations. Duties and Responsibilities Perform receiving, in-process, and final inspections of materials, components, weldments, assemblies, and finished equipment. Inspect components for compliance with quality requirements, customer specifications, engineering drawings. Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, bills of material, weld symbols, inspection requirements, and other technical documentation. Perform dimensional and visual inspections using precision measuring equipment. Verify dimensions, tolerances, workmanship, materials, welds, and overall product conformance. Document nonconforming materials, components, or workmanship and communicate findings. Verify inspection and test equipment is properly calibrated. Identify quality or process concerns and communicate to Quality leadership. Maintain inspection records and support product and material traceability requirements. Follow all company quality, safety, and regulatory requirements.
Skills and Experience Required:
HSD or GED; technical or vocational training in welding, fabrication, manufacturing. 3 years of quality inspection in a manufacturing, fabrication, pressure vessel, process piping, or similar industrial environment. Knowledge of quality and ASME Code related to pressure vessels and/or process piping preferred. Read and interpret engineering, drawings, technical specifications, weld symbols, and dimensional tolerances. Experience using precision measuring equipment, calipers, micrometers, gauges, dimensional inspection tools. Experience documenting nonconforming reports and maintaining records.
