Quality Assurance Inspector Paige Floor Covering Specialists National City, CA Job Details Full-time $25 - $35 an hour 1 hour ago Benefits Paid time off 401(k) matching Flexible schedule Qualifications Customer communication Calibration Attention to detail Technical writing Quality assurance experience within manufacturing Quality control records management Full Job Description Quality Assurance Inspector - NAVSEA Basic Paint Inspector (NBPI) Paige Floor Covering Specialists (Paige FC) is seeking a qualified Quality Assurance Inspector / NAVSEA Basic Paint Inspector (NBPI) to support our marine and ship-repair operations. The QA Inspector will perform on-site quality control inspections, coordinate required checkpoints, verify surface preparation and coating requirements, document Objective Quality Evidence (OQE), identify deficiencies and required corrective actions, and work closely with Production, Supervisors, customers, and the Quality Assurance Manager to ensure work is completed in accordance with applicable specifications and contract requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform preliminary and final quality inspections. Coordinate and attend customer/government QA checkpoints. Verify surface preparation, coating application, environmental conditions, and workmanship. Prepare and maintain OQE and inspection documentation. Identify discrepancies and verify corrective actions are completed. Perform field spot checks and ensure production follows required processes. Communicate inspection results and quality concerns to Production and QA management. Verify incoming coating products and maintain/calibrate QA inspection equipment. Review applicable specifications and scopes of work before and during production.

Qualifications:

Current NAVSEA Basic Paint Inspector (NBPI) certification

REQUIRED.

Previous marine, shipyard, Navy ship-repair, preservation, or coatings inspection experience preferred. Strong knowledge of surface preparation and coating inspection practices. Strong documentation, communication, and attention-to-detail skills. Ability to work independently in an active shipyard environment.
