Job Description

Final Inspector Job Description We are seeking dedicated Final Inspectors for a large metal finishing facility in Costa Mesa, CA. Positions are available for both first shift (6am-2:30pm) and second shift (2pm-10:30pm). This role is integral in ensuring product conformity to established requirements by evaluating products against customer and engineering drawings, specifications, and related documents. Responsibilities Perform inspections, including in-process and final inspections of parts and assemblies, in accordance with applicable engineering criteria, documents, drawings, and workmanship standards. Utilize precision measurement equipment/devices for inspections. Act as the customer liaison for source inspection activities. Coordinate calibration activities and maintain records of various tools, instruments, and gauges used for product acceptance or verification/validation. Ensure proper operation of measurement equipment by following operating instructions. Assist engineering and operations in the investigation of non-conformities. Maintain a safe and clean work environment by following guidelines and procedures and complying with all applicable regulations. Essential Skills Experience in inspection and quality control with an emphasis on metal finishing and chemical processing. Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles and practices. Knowledge of
ISO 9001 & AS9100/9102
Quality Management Systems and First Article Inspection requirements. Proficient in the use of common inspection measuring equipment, including calipers, micrometers, thickness gauges, surface plates, height gauges, radius gauges, bore gauges, and dial indicators. Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Strong mathematical and analytical skills to assess product acceptability. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in an aviation with a focus on metal finishing is advantageous. Familiarity with lean manufacturing practices and metrics. Why Work Here? Work Environment The facility comprises six buildings, each dedicated to different parts of the metal finishing process, providing a diverse and comprehensive work environment. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Newport Beach, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $24.00/hr.
