$23.00 $30.05/hour W2 Job Summary The Data Entry Technician will provide administrative and program support within the Quality Improvement department. This position is primarily responsible for accurate and timely data entry, supporting credentialing activities, conducting outreach calls, maintaining confidential healthcare information, and responding to inquiries from providers and internal staff. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, dependable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Key Responsibilities Perform accurate data entry from various documents, files, and data sources. Support the department in achieving short- and long-term operational goals. Conduct outreach calls as needed to obtain or verify information for data entry. Assist with preparation and organization of credentialing files. Complete credentialing-related data entry and prepare files for review. Respond to provider and internal staff inquiries regarding credentialing status. Identify and promptly report issues that may affect production, accuracy, or quality. Maintain the security and confidentiality of Protected Health Information (PHI). Collaborate with team members and other departments to support department priorities. Provide excellent customer service while maintaining professionalism, consistency, dignity, and accountability. Complete additional projects and duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. At least 1 year of data entry experience required. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered if it provides the knowledge and skills necessary to perform the essential duties.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in a managed healthcare environment . Knowledge or experience with provider data and/or credentialing . Experience working with provider or credentialing systems . Familiarity with healthcare documentation and confidential information is preferred.
Knowledge & Skills:
Strong data entry and attention-to-detail skills. Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to organize information, analyze issues, and solve problems. Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish effective working relationships with leadership, staff, providers, and external contacts. Ability to use Microsoft Office applications , including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint. Ability to learn and effectively use job-specific applications and systems. Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling PHI and other sensitive information. Strong organizational, time-management, and follow-through skills. Licensure/Certification None required.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to read information displayed on computer screens, forms, and printed materials. Ability to communicate clearly in person and by telephone. Ability to hear and respond effectively during telephone and face-to-face communication. Manual dexterity for typing, writing, and routine office activities. Ability to sit for prolonged periods and perform occasional standing, walking, bending, crouching, kneeling, reaching, and related movements. Ability to lift and move objects or equipment weighing approximately 10 25 pounds .
Work Environment:
The position is primarily performed indoors in a professional office environment and involves predominantly sedentary work. The role may require schedule changes, variable work hours, and travel as needed. The typical office environment has moderate noise levels and no expected harmful environmental conditions.
