The Quality Assurance Inspector will work closely with the operations, sales, and logistics teams. In this role, you will inspect and monitor products to ensure they meet customer and company quality standards, including grading samples, checking packaging, labeling, and weighing materials. In addition, you will coordinate with field team on quality findings and report any issues. You will report directly the Quality Assurance Supervisor. This is a seasonal role based in Oxnard, California. Candidates must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Inspect product and assure that it meets customer and company quality specifications Collect and grade samples at various field and cooler locations Consistently check packaging for correct dates and proper condition Ensure that correct labels are used with correct product Record findings and notify manager of out-of-grade product Weigh and count material to ensure that weight specifications are met Separate product based on customer preference and quality issues Constantly communicate with the cooler and fields on quality Ability to work a flexible scheduling including weekends
Education and Qualifications:
1-2 years of Quality Assurance, Quality Control, or visual inspection experience within the product industry preferreed Proficient in English and Spanish, preferred Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.) Proficient in using mobile applications and workplace technology (e.g., smartphones, tablets, or related tools) to perform job duties Highly detailed oriented with the ability to perform repetitive tasks accurately and efficiently Quick learner with ability to adapt to new processes and procedures
Travel Requirements:
Occasional travel between Oxnard locations
Work Environment and Physical Demands:
Approximately 90% of work will be performed on-site at the cooler facility, which includes time spent in cold-temperature environments for extended periods. The remaining 10% of work may take place in an agricultural/field setting Ability to stand/walk for multiple hours Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
Compensation Range:
The hourly compensation range for this position is $18.00-$19.00 The actual rate offered will be determined based on several factors including experience, skills, job-related knowledge and work location.
