Key Responsibilities:
Perform in-process and final inspections of aerospace parts, assemblies, and materials. Verify compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, and industry standards (e.g., AS9100, ISO 9001). Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and CMMs. Document inspection results and maintain accurate quality records. Identify and report non-conformances; assist in root cause analysis and corrective actions. Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions. Support internal and external audits as needed. Ensure adherence to safety and quality procedures throughout the production process.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate degree in a related field preferred. Minimum 2-5 years of experience in quality inspection within the aerospace or defense industry. Strong knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing). Familiarity with AS9100 and other aerospace quality standards. Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications. Experience with inspection tools and software (e.g., CMM, SPC, ERP systems). Excellent attention to detail and documentation skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
