Job Description As the Quality Inspection Supervisor, you play a critical leadership role in ensuring Teledyne Microwave Solutions delivers reliable, high‑performance products to customers in highly regulated markets. You will lead and develop a skilled inspection team supporting the Traveling Wave Tube business unit, ensuring incoming materials, in‑process assemblies, and finished products meet stringent quality and contractual requirements. Your work directly impacts product integrity, customer confidence, and long‑term business success. What you'll do Lead and supervise inspectors responsible for incoming, in‑process, and final inspections Communicate quality requirements clearly and ensure proper flow‑down of internal and contractual standards Plan and assign inspection resources to support production schedules and priorities Recruit, train, coach, and evaluate inspection team members Ensure inspections are completed accurately, on time, and fully documented Maintain organized inspection and quarantine areas Improve inspection processes to increase consistency, efficiency, and accuracy Analyze inspection data to identify defect trends and root causes Partner with engineering and quality experts to drive continuous improvement What you need Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills
  • required Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and quality standards
  • required Quality inspection experience in electronics or electro‑mechanical manufacturing (10+ years)
  • required Supervisory experience leading teams of 5-10 employees (5+ years)
  • required Experience in aerospace, defense, or other regulated industries
  • preferred Knowledge of quality management systems such as ISO 9001 or AS9100
  • preferred Familiarity with electrostatic discharge control standards
  • preferred Technical degree in mechanical or electrical engineering

Salary Range:
$96,600.00
