Staff Services Analyst I:
$25.48 - $30.97 Hourly /$2,038.40 - $2,477.60Bi-weekly Staff Services Analyst II:
$26.77 - $32.53 Hourly /$2,141.60 - $2,602.40Bi-weekly What You Will Do:
The primary function of a Staff Services Analyst I/II for the purposes of this recruitment is to perform professional level analytical duties to assist with Fair Hearings, investigations, case review, eligibility determinations and evaluation of complaints regarding program benefits. May perform other duties as assigned.Perfect Match:
Has the ability to research problems and central issues accurately and objectively and to recognize alternative solutions and determine an effective course of action; make sound decisions and independent judgements within established guidelines; express information and ideas orally and in written form; develop and maintain cooperative, effective working relationships; accept increasing responsibility; prioritize, plan, coordinate, and organize simultaneous work assignments and projects to meet critical and competing deadlines; work as a team contributing to and/or leading team efforts; and must be proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Word and Outlook, Superior skills in writing procedures and developing written plans is required. Perform complex analysis of existing and proposed department policies, procedures, programs and systems; interview, consult and coordinate with departmental officials, employees and others to give and receive information; prepare written reports and make recommendations on procedures, policies, and functional issues and alternatives; make effective presentations before various groups; and prepare clear and concise comprehensive reports, summaries, abstracts, correspondence and other documentation. Typical Duties of a Staff Services I/II include: Performing complex research and analysis of existing and proposed state and local department policies, procedures, programs and systems. Consulting and coordinating with state and local departmental officials, employees and others to give and receive information. Preparing written reports and making recommendations on procedures, policies, and functional issues and alternatives. Performing effective presentations before various groups; and preparing clear and concise comprehensive reports, summaries, abstracts, correspondence and other documentation. Staff Services Analyst I | Staff Services Analyst II Pattern 1: Graduation from an accredited four year college or university with a bachelor's degree; OR Pattern 2: Two (2) years (60 semester or 90 quarter) of college units; AND One (1) year of full time experience as an Eligibility Specialist III, Integrated Case Worker III, Employment and Training Worker III, Social Worker II, Accounting Technician, Child Support Specialist III, or Staff Services Specialist; OR Two (2) years of full time experience as an Eligibility Specialist II, Integrated Case Worker II, Employment and Training Worker II, Account Clerk III, or Child Support Specialist II; OR Two (2) years of full time technical level experience involving general administrative, personnel, fiscal, staff development, or program work. In addition to the education and experience requirements specified above, Tehama County requires: Equivalent to completion of the twelfth (12th) grade.License & Special Requirements:
A valid California Class C driver's license or alternative form of transportation may be required for some positions at the time of appointment. Individuals who do not meet this requirement due to a disability will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. The department is currently recruiting for one (1) vacancy . In addition, Tehama County is establishing an eligibility list to fill future vacancies for a Staff Services Analyst I/II, as well as subsequent vacancies, which occur during the life of the eligibility list. New employees should anticipate being hired at the beginning step of the salary range. Candidates who exceed entry level qualifications may be considered, with approval from the Board of Supervisors, for placement at other than A step.
