This position is responsible for performing daily quality control testing on construction materials, including sampling, measuring, and documenting results in accordance with company and industry standards. The technician will operate and maintain laboratory equipment, verify compliance with specifications, and communicate findings to Technical Manager and supervisors. Day-to-day tasks include preparing test reports, identifying potential quality issues, assisting with corrective actions, and maintaining a clean, safe, and organized lab and testing area. The role also involves working closely with field and plant personnel to support consistent quality across all project phases. Qualifications Strong Quality Control and Quality Assurance skills, with the ability to follow established procedures and standards. Applied Analytical Skills for evaluating test data, interpreting results, and identifying trends or discrepancies. Hands-on Laboratory Skills, including handling samples, conducting tests, and maintaining accurate records. Proficiency in using and maintaining Laboratory Equipment safely and effectively. Attention to detail and solid organizational skills for managing multiple tests and documentation requirements. Basic math skills and comfort with using spreadsheets or lab software for data entry and reporting. Ability to work on-site in a construction and plant environment, including standing, lifting, and working in varying weather conditions. Effective communication skills to collaborate with supervisors, lab staff, and field personnel. High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical coursework or certification in materials testing or quality control is a plus. Previous experience in construction materials testing, quality control, or a related laboratory environment is preferred.
Pay:
$22.00 - $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 - 50.0 per week
