GENERAL DESCRIPTION / PRIMARY PURPOSE
Responsible for ensuring that all food quality processes align with the company's compliance with food safety standards.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS / DUTIES OF THE POSITION
Provide production support in all aspects of the Companies quality process. Do quality checks including bag seal, oxygen level, proportions, bag weight, raw materials check, and finished goods check Perform CCP verifications as necessary Receive raw materials and ingredients per SOP (Masterpack, film, and veg ingredients) Check equipment to verify accuracy Maintain reports and system log entries Complete food safety checks to meet all critical control points Review CCP paperwork at the end of shift Place and remove "Hold" statuses as required for raw, in-process, and finished goods Maintain HOLD, Foreign object, and other data base as needed Perform EMP swabs Direct QA Techs and Responsibilities Monitor breaks and lunches Train new employees Conduct tailgates and lead exercise routines at start of shift Receive raw material trailers and inspect the materials to make sure they meet the standards Responsible for reviewing and maintaining equipment's provided by the facility Responsible for calibrating equipment's Proficient in handling and running both VA and RTE lines Perform shelf-life evaluation and data entry Any and all other duties assigned by your supervisor or Manager
JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES
EXPERIENCE:
Previous experience in a food processing facility is preferred but not required. A High School Diploma is necessary.
SKILLS:
Good oral communication skills are required.
ADDITIONAL
Hands-on ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented food processing environment is essential. Must be able to work independently with limited supervision. Must also maintain regular and acceptable attendance, follow directions, interact well with coworkers, and understand and follow posted work rules and procedures. Flexibility is necessary to work any shift based on workload demands.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Work is performed in a cool environment with an average temperature of 34 degrees Fahrenheit. Concentrated chlorine and concealed ammonia are present. Work surfaces and floors may be wet. Employees are required to wear approved footwear and protective equipment. Must be able to lift up to 10 lbs. unassisted for up to one-third of the workday and 6 lbs. overhead as job demands dictate. Constant standing on a concrete floor, reaching, bending, stooping, and repetitive hand movements may be required. Moving machinery, including conveyors and forklifts, will be in operation in the immediate area. WORK HOUR & TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
Availability to work overtime is needed. Some weekends may be required.

High School Diploma or General Educational Development (GED) certificate.
