!!! QUALITY INSPECTORS- 2nd Shift- $22/hr. Job Description The Quality Inspector tests and inspects gloves to ensure they meet established company standards and have not been damaged during the manufacturing process. This role focuses on performing visual and mechanical tests, using inspection tools, and accurately recording data to support consistent product quality. Responsibilities Ensure manufacturing processes are followed and that finished products consistently meet company quality standards. Inspect raw materials through routine inspections and reject all materials that do not meet specifications. Perform a wide variety of tests on gloves, including visual inspection, air leak tests, and other non-destructive testing methods. Use inspection tools, with primary focus on calipers, to measure and verify product specifications. Operate testing machinery and equipment to evaluate glove performance and integrity. Use a computer and Microsoft Excel and Word to enter, track, and maintain inspection data and test results. Conduct quality checks throughout production to identify defects and support continuous improvement. Maintain organized records of inspections, test outcomes, and rejected materials. Handle some heavy lifting, up to 40 lbs, as needed during inspections and material handling. After training, inspect approximately 200 to 500 gloves per day while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. Essential Skills Previous quality experience in any industry. Hands-on experience using calipers for measurement and inspection. Basic computer skills, including the ability to use Microsoft Excel and Word for data entry and tracking. Demonstrated data entry skills with accuracy and consistency. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to perform visual inspections and identify defects or nonconformities. Capability to lift up to 40 lbs as part of daily duties. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience operating machinery in a production or manufacturing environment. in quality inspection, quality checks, or production environments. Familiarity with non-destructive testing methods. Comfort working with inspection tools beyond calipers, as needed. Ability to work efficiently in a smaller team environment and meet daily inspection targets. Why Work Here? Work Environment This role is based in a temperature-controlled manufacturing environment on the 2nd shift, working Tuesday through Saturday from 2:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Initial training lasts about one month and follows a Monday through Friday schedule from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. You will work as part of a smaller team of about six people, allowing for close collaboration and support. The manufacturing floor has a noticeable scent similar to paint. While on the manufacturing floor, you will wear a lab coat as part of the required attire, and you will regularly use inspection tools, testing machinery, and computers with Microsoft Excel and Word to complete your tasks. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Marcos, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
