ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Must have the personality and temperament to work as part of a team. The Quality Control Inspector I performs inspections at various stages of assembly and manufacturing, including in-process, and final inspections, of complex machined parts for conformance to specifications, with precision in execution and meticulous attention to detail under the guidance of their supervisor and team members. Prepare required inspection documentation such as written descriptions of inspection results including deviations from engineering specifications. Generate Discrepant Material Reports (DMR), process materials / items into and out of hold areas and verifies remediation actions completed per DMR instructions. Perform Quality transactions in ERP system (Epicor). Cooperate with and support Engineering and Manufacturing efforts. Maintain a clean work area ensuring strict adherence to the 5S Standards. Comply with established safety directives. Be familiar with Quality Management System requirements and follow procedures as applicable. Maintain accurate time keeping.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of 1-year related experience. Demonstrated ability to accurately use common inspection instruments. Work with complex inspection plans and mechanical drawings (GD&T). Must be able to understand & follow quality processes and procedures. Use of common gages and measurement instruments for inspection purposes.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Must be able to lift/pull/push up to 35 pounds Must be able to wear the necessary PPE (safety glasses, safety shoes, ear plugs, etc.) Must be able to stand for extended periods of time. Overtime and weekends could be required during heavy workload or to meet special customer demands. Exposure to shop elements such as noise, dust, and chemicals, with protective equipment provided as needed. Ability to remain in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods. Visual acuity to inspect parts and review detailed documents and reports. 11:00am- 7:30am
