Job Description

  • Job Description
  • Join a leading provider of patented pumping solutions as a Quality Inspector.
In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting a wide variety of parts, assemblies, tooling fixtures, and materials to ensure compliance with company specifications, customer requirements, and applicable quality standards. This position requires technical judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to resolve moderately complex inspection issues. You will work under limited supervision and will not have supervisory responsibilities.
  • Responsibilities
  • + Perform visual and dimensional inspections of machined parts, castings, assemblies, purchased components, and materials at various stages of the manufacturing process.
+ Conduct inspections in accordance with standards such as MSS SP-55, API, ASTM, ANSI/HI, and ISO. + Determine appropriate inspection methods and select necessary gauges, fixtures, indicators, and measurement equipment to verify specifications and critical dimensions. + Read, interpret, and inspect parts based on engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions. + Prepare and complete inspection reports, including First Article Inspection (FAI), in-process inspections, final inspections, certified inspections, RMAs, and final inspection of pump orders prior to shipment. + Document and process Non-Conforming Material Reports (NCMRs) for parts that do not meet specifications. + Inspect incoming purchased materials and components, reviewing supplier documentation and disposition. + Collaborate closely with Receiving, Production, Engineering, and Quality teams to determine the appropriate disposition of materials and parts. + Perform inspections based on work orders and accurately record inspection start and completion times in the manufacturing system (Global Shop). + Assist with internal audits and follow up on corrective and preventive actions as assigned by the Quality Manager or Supervisor. + Maintain accurate, complete, and confidential quality records and documentation. + Follow all safety rules, procedures, and established operating practices. + Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Essential Skills
  • + 2-5 years of relevant quality inspection experience in a manufacturing environment.
+ Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications. + Experience using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and indicators. + Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all organizational levels. + Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. + Strong attention to detail, organizational, and analytical skills.

  • This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Santee, CA.
  • Pay and Benefits
  • The pay range for this position is $25.00
  • $29.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your jobclassification and length of employment.
