Job Title:
Quality Technician Job Description The Quality Technician is responsible for performing routine to moderately complex inspections of aerospace parts, sub-assemblies, and finished products to ensure compliance with engineering drawings, quality standards, and customer requirements. This role supports receiving, in-process, and final inspections and works under general supervision within the Quality team. Responsibilities Perform visual and dimensional inspections of parts, assemblies, and raw materials. Use precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges. Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and inspection instructions. Document inspection results and maintain accurate inspection records. Identify nonconforming material and communicate findings to Quality leadership. Support in-process and final inspections to ensure product quality. Follow established quality procedures, work instructions, and safety standards. Essential Skills High school diploma or equivalent. 2-5 years of quality inspection experience in a manufacturing environment. Proficiency with basic inspection and measuring tools. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to communicate effectively in English. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in aerospace or regulated manufacturing environments. Familiarity with quality systems such as AS9100 or ISO standards. Prior experience with receiving, in-process, or final inspection processes. Work Environment This position operates in a manufacturing environment where the Quality Technician is expected to perform hands-on quality inspections using precision tools. The role involves interpreting engineering drawings and GD&T to ensure product conformance. The technician must maintain accurate documentation to comply with aerospace quality standards, working within established safety protocols. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Simi Valley, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $29.00/hr.
