Basic Requirements:

High school diploma or GED preferred. Minimum 1-year experience related to materials and/or shipping/receiving Knowledge of ERP and/or SAP systems Certified Forklift Operator Certificate Ability to use electric weight scalesBenefits/Salary:

The salary range for this position is $22-24/hr. Howmet Fastening Systems (HFS) is seeking a Materials Specialist I in our Torrance, California location. HFS is a business unit of Howmet Aerospace, headquartered in Torrance, California. Our high-tech, multi-material fastening systems are found nose to tail on aircraft and aerospace engines. Our products are also critical components of industrial gas turbines, automobiles, commercial transportation vehicles, and construction and industrial equipment.Key Responsibilities:
Maintain inventory accuracy and control of material stores including finished goods and raw materials Package, stage, and ship finished goods. When necessary, expedite critical shipments Assist with cycle counting Responsible for the flow and movement of materials to and from the factory Demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement daily by your actions Take the initiative to resolve materials related issues with interaction from supervisor/Manager Perform other tasks as needed in support of manufacturing operations, customers, and suppliers Comply with all EHS rules and regulations and supervisory instructions. Report all incidents including injuries, spills, fires, property damage, and near misses to their supervisor Able to work with minimum or no supervision Practice 5s standards and keep area clean dailyPhysical Demands:
Must be able to lift/move 30 lbs. (may not exceed per EHS policies) Must be able to stand for long periods of timeBenefits
