full-time Aerospace Quality Inspector - FARO Arm ABC Sheet Metal / Steeldyne Industries Anaheim, CA Full-Time | 1st Shift | Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM-2:30 PM $35.00-$43.00 per hour, depending on experience Position Summary ABC Sheet Metal / Steeldyne Industries is seeking an experienced Aerospace Quality Inspector with hands-on experience using a FARO Arm, Hexagon/ROMER Arm, or similar portable CMM arm . This is a hands-on, shop-floor inspection position working with precision sheet metal, machined, welded, formed, and fabricated aerospace components. aerospace manufacturing . What You'll Do Perform receiving, in-process, first article, layout, and final inspections Operate FARO and Hexagon portable CMM arms Perform dimensional layouts and CAD-to-part inspections Establish datums, alignments, and measurement setups Inspect precision sheet metal and machined components Complete AS9102 FAIRs, including Forms 1, 2, and 3 Create and verify ballooned drawings and characteristic accountability reports Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, GD&T , and customer requirements Perform inspections using micrometers, calipers, height gages, bore gages, indicators, pin gages, and other dimensional inspection equipment Document nonconforming material and support NCR/MRB activities Work directly with machining, sheet metal, welding, engineering, production, and quality personnel Required Qualifications 5+ years of hands-on aerospace quality inspection experience Experience working in an AS9100 or AS9100D manufacturing environment Hands-on experience using a FARO Arm, Hexagon/ROMER Arm, or similar portable CMM arm Experience inspecting both precision sheet metal and machined components Strong GD&T and blueprint-reading skills Experience completing AS9102 First Article Inspection Reports Strong dimensional and surface-plate inspection skills Ability to independently perform inspections on the production floor Additional Experience We Value We are also interested in speaking with candidates who have CMM programming experience . Experience creating or modifying CMM inspection routines, establishing alignments and datums, or programming dimensional and GD&T inspections is a plus. CMM programming is not required. Hands-on portable CMM arm experience is the primary need for this position.
