We are expanding our Quality Control team and are looking for experienced Coating Shift Inspectors to support a major Pipe Mill project in Thisvi, Greece. The position is part of a project currently planned for approximately 6 months, with the initial assignment planned for the end of October.
Overview:
IMPORTANT
Candidates living locally or in the surrounding area of Thisvi, Greece, will be given priority. A valid European Union work visa / authorization to work in the EU is mandatory for this position. As a Coating Shift Inspector, you will provide quality inspection coverage during your assigned shift, ensuring that coating activities are performed in accordance with project specifications, applicable industry standards, API 5L requirements, and PPI Quality & Engineering procedures . A total of four inspectors will be required to provide continuous coating inspection coverage across two shifts , with two inspectors per shift :- 1 Inspector per shift - CWC (Concrete Weight Coating)
- 1 Inspector per shift - Anti-Corrosion Coating Key Responsibilities The Coating Shift Inspector will be responsible for providing quality inspection coverage during the assigned shift, including:
- Perform and witness inspection and testing activities in accordance with approved procedures and project requirements
- Provide inspection coverage for Concrete Weight Coating (CWC) operations
- Provide inspection coverage for Anti-Corrosion Coating operations
- Monitor coating application and production activities throughout the assigned shift
- Verify coating materials, processes and application parameters against approved specifications and procedures
- Perform and/or witness relevant coating inspection and testing activities
- Review inspection and testing results and identify any deviations or non-conformities
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of inspection reports and quality documentation
- Communicate inspection findings and quality issues to the Lead Inspector and relevant project stakeholders
- Support the identification, reporting and follow-up of quality issues and corrective actions
- Promote safe working practices and maintain a strong culture of quality, accountability and operational excellence
Responsabilities:
This position is ideal for an experienced Coating Inspector / QC Inspector with a strong background in industrial coating operations and the ability to work independently within a shift-based Pipe Mill environment.The ideal candidate should have:
- Proven experience as a Coating Inspector / QC Inspector in a Pipe Mill, fabrication or similar industrial environment
- Strong practical knowledge and experience with API 5L (mandatory)
- Proven experience with Anti-Corrosion Coating inspection
- Experience with Concrete Weight Coating (CWC) is highly desirable
- Strong understanding of coating inspection, quality control and testing requirements
- Ability to monitor coating processes and identify deviations from approved specifications
- Experience reviewing inspection and testing results and preparing quality documentation
- Strong reporting, documentation and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and effectively communicate with production teams, inspectors and project stakeholders
- Strong attention to detail, accountability and commitment to operational excellence
- Flexibility and willingness to work on a shift basis
