We're searching for a First Article & Final Inspection Specialist who thrives on precision, documentation excellence, and collaboration on the shop floor.
Role Snapshot First Piece Acceptance:
Validate the first article directly at the machines to confirm conformance to blueprints and GD&T. In‑
Process Inspection:
Perform timely checks to maintain quality and flow.
Final Inspection & Packaged Docs:
Complete the last dimensional verification and assemble customer‑required inspection documentation prior to shipment.
Additional Duties:
Support other quality tasks as assigned. Must‑Haves Minimum 3 years of experience in a job shop environment. Background in fast‑paced manufacturing inspecting machined components. Hands‑on skill with standard inspection instruments (micrometers, height gage, indicators, etc.). Ability to read/interpret blueprints and apply GD&T. Comfort working with customer paperwork to complete final inspection documents. Strong time management, prioritization, and multi‑tasking.
Pluses:
Trigonometry knowledge; working knowledge of gage calibration systems. U.S. Person Status. Proficiencies GD&T Quality Inspection Experience Cell Culture AS9100 Quality Control Experience AS9100 Experience Blueprint Reading Equipment Familiarity Optical Comparator Thread Gauges (GO/NO‑GO) — Mitutoyo, Starrett, Meyer Gage, Vermont Gage Measurement Gauges Calipers and Micrometers What You'll Appreciate State‑of‑the‑art, clean machine shop with central air Medical Benefits Company Matching 401k Paid vacation, Paid holidays, Paid sick days Full‑time, 1st shift Extremely competitive salary
