North Haven, CT Job Details Full-time $24 - $39 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Health insurance 401(k) Paid time off 401(k) matching Life insurance Qualifications On-site construction communication coordination Infrastructure construction Quality control within construction industry Construction quality control Transportation construction Full Job Description Empire Paving Inc., one of Connecticut's leading Heavy/Highway General Contractors, has an immediate opening for an experienced Quality Control Technician. Current projects are located in Central, Western and Southern Connecticut. Qualified candidates should possess the following: ACI Field 1 Certification- Certification Concrete Field Technician Grade 1- required Minimum 2 years experience in working on QC programs in a construction environment Bluebeam Revu/Adobe IX experience preferred Microsoft Office experience Responsibilities will include: Observe work in progress to ensure that procedures and materials used conform to approved drawings and specifications. Perform standard field testing of materials. Asphalt and concrete.
Perform concrete tests:
Slump, air test, cast cylinders Perform asphalt tests: Use Nuclear density gauges to test asphalt, cut asphalt cores Examine workmanship of installations for conformity to specifications. Maintain daily log of construction and inspection activities and complete clear, accurate reports daily. Coordinate with independent testing companies for sample drop-offs and follow up with test report results. Report directly to Quality Control Manager and Project Manager. Coordinate with subcontractors, foremen, superintendents, engineers & State/Owner representatives. Other related duties may be assigned. Full-Time Mid Level Postion.
