woodstock, connecticut Posted 4/20/2026 Closes 6/30/2026 Job details Summary Spherion $23.00 - $27.00 per hour Temp to Perm Various Shifts Available Industry manufacturing & production (Production Occupations) Reference number S_174822 As a Quality Inspector, you serve as the final checkpoint in the manufacturing process, ensuring all components meet strict engineering and quality standards. This role requires a highly detail-oriented professional who thrives in a precision-driven environment, with a commitment to accuracy, consistency, and continuous improvement. You will perform advanced inspections, interpret technical drawings, and use precision measuring equipment to verify product integrity in demanding applications.
Responsibilities:
Perform first article, in-process, and final inspections on machined parts and assemblies Interpret complex engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T specifications Use precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and bore gauges Accurately record inspection results in the Quality Management System (QMS) and maintain detailed documentation Identify and segregate non-conforming materials, ensuring proper tagging and reporting Assist with root cause analysis and corrective actions for quality issues Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve defects and improve product quality ... Ensure all inspection equipment is properly calibrated and maintained Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce waste Working hours:

Experience in aerospace, medical device, or defense manufacturing Familiarity with CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) operation Prior involvement in quality audits or ISO-compliant environments Certification in quality inspection (e.g., CQT or equivalent) Experience supporting continuous improvement or lean manufacturing initiatives
Education:
High School Experience:
1-4 years
Qualifications:
