Job Description

Advanex Americas' Quality team is looking for an experienced Quality Assurance Technician that will be responsible for performing detailed visual and dimensional inspections of in-house parts for conformance to manufacturing requirements. Candidates must demonstrate attention to detail, high integrity, self-motivation and a willingness to provide excellent quality of work.
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Able to understand and use measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, gauging, etc. Perform detailed visual and dimensional inspection of supplier material and production parts. Documents QA inspection at receiving, in-process, and testing activities to assure conformance to specifications and procedural requirements. Audits various manufacturing processes to assure compliance and product segregation. Maintains and updates inspection logs and records as necessary. Initiates non-conformance reports (NCRs) and follows-up to final disposition of nonconforming materials. Responsible for complying with the department's existing policies, procedures, methods, and techniques. Assists manager and/or department staff by providing light clerical support, such as filing, photocopying and data entry. Additional duties as assigned.
JOB SKILLS
High school diploma or equivalent 1+ years of Quality experience in manufacturing Must be a detailed oriented person Ability to reason and analyze to pinpoint defects Ability to read and interpret dimensional drawings Ability to comprehend written instructions Must be able to work effectively in a team environment Knowledge of basic math through the algebra level required Basic computer skills including Word, Excel, and open to learning new skills including but not limited to and ERP system for Manufacturing called PLEX. An understanding of and the ability to read and use basic measuring tools and instruments Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
