- Accept or reject product, materials, or articles; identify and document non-conformances to engineering, specifications, & standards and notify appropriate personnel of potential rejection of items.
- Report discrepancies to Supervision and Management.
- Document inspection results through the completion of reports and logs.
- Perform mathematical functions for weight measurements, torque conversions, and dimensional measurements.
- Perform visual inspection, continuity and/or resistance testing on cables, harnesses, or connectors.
- Ensure measurement equipment is well maintained and operating accurately.
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures.
- Track/record job progress and deficiencies daily in both written and electronic formats.
- Accurately record product information, traceability requirements, labor hours, and other statistics into computer databases to comply with company requirements.
Qualifications / Requirements
- Must have keen attention to detail and quality.
- Must be proficient with data entry and the use of computer resources.
- Ability to read and comprehend detailed work instructions and interpret drawings, schematics, specifications, and standards.
- Ability to accurately use required measuring tools and perform basic mathematical functions. Must be able to bend, stoop, reach, sit, stand, and walk for extended periods
- Must be able to lift up-to 30 pounds. Desired Qualifications Prior experience in quality assurance or as a Quality Control Inspector.
- IPC Certification to standard 620 and/or
J-STD-001.
- Willingness to work varied shifts to support surge activities.
