$27.00 per hour (higher compensation may be available based on experience) Position Overview We are seeking a skilled Metal Fabrication Machine Operator to support shop production by operating press brakes, shears, and related fabrication equipment. This role involves working with structural steel and miscellaneous metal components while ensuring quality, accuracy, and safe material handling practices throughout the fabrication process. Primary Duties Set up and operate press brakes, shears, and other fabrication machinery to cut, bend, and form metal components. Interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, and production documents to complete assigned work accurately. Perform measuring, marking, and material layout using tape measures, squares, levels, and other precision measuring tools. Verify completed parts for dimensional accuracy and overall quality before release to the next stage of production. Safely transport materials and finished products using forklifts and overhead cranes. Maintain an organized work area and follow all workplace safety procedures. Assist with general fabrication activities as needed to support production goals. Qualifications Two or more years of experience operating press brakes, shears, or similar metal fabrication equipment preferred. Ability to read and understand blueprints, shop drawings, and fabrication specifications. Experience working with structural steel or miscellaneous metals fabrication. Proficient with measuring devices and layout tools used in fabrication environments. Forklift and overhead crane operating experience preferred. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work. Ability to work safely and efficiently in a manufacturing or fabrication setting.
