Job Description
Job Summary Constellation Technology is seeking a detail-oriented Materials Technician to support our ISO 17025-accredited materials testing laboratory. This role focuses on sample preparation, routine testing, and laboratory support activities for metals, polymers, composites, and related materials. The Materials Technician will work under the guidance of senior technical staff while contributing to accurate, timely, and high-quality laboratory results. Due to U.S. government contract and export-control requirements, candidates must be U.S. citizens. Key Responsibilities Perform sample preparation including sectioning, mounting, grinding, polishing, and etching Conduct routine hardness testing and basic mechanical testing Maintain clean, organized, and efficient sample workflow Label, track, and document samples accurately Maintain accurate, audit-ready laboratory records Assist with equipment setup, maintenance, and basic troubleshooting Support laboratory operations and cross-functional testing activities Ensure compliance with
