Job Description

We have a great new role for the right QA candidate! Are you a meticulous and detail-oriented individual with a passion for quality? We're seeking a Quality Inspector to join our team and ensure the highest standards for our products. If you have a strong understanding of manufacturing processes, excellent inspection skills, and a commitment to precision, we encourage you to apply! As a Quality Inspector, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of our products from raw materials to finished goods. You'll work closely with production teams, leveraging your expertise to identify and address any deviations from engineering specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
Product and Material Inspection:
Perform thorough inspections of raw materials, in-process components, and finished goods, identifying defects or deviations from engineering specifications and drawings.
Precision Measurement:
Utilize a variety of measuring tools, including calipers, micrometers, scales, and height gauges, to accurately verify product dimensions and tolerances against design engineering data.
Documentation and Reporting:
Meticulously record all inspection results, including details of defects, non-conformances, and corrective actions taken, in detailed reports and logs.
Cross-functional Communication:
Effectively communicate quality issues to production personnel and collaborate on solutions and the implementation of corrective actions.
Quality Standard Adherence:
Ensure strict adherence to established quality management systems, procedures, and relevant regulatory requirements, including AS9100 and
ISO 9001.
What You Bring:
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Technical Knowledge:
Basic understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and quality standards.
Inspection Expertise:
Proven proficiency in using precision inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, scales, and height gauges .
Blueprint Reading:
Ability to accurately read and interpret complex engineering drawings and 2D prints.
Industry Familiarity:
Familiarity with relevant aerospace standards like
AS9100 & ISO 9001
. Experience with AS9102 First Article Inspection (FAI) is a significant plus.
Computer Literacy:
Basic computer skills, including the ability to scan and file inspection reports, proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word , and the aptitude to learn basic ERP shop inventory transactions.
Problem-Solving Skills:
Strong ability to identify issues and contribute to finding effective solutions for quality concerns.
Communication Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to clearly document findings and interact effectively with engineers and production teams.
Teamwork:
A collaborative spirit and ability to work effectively with other quality inspectors, production personnel, and engineers.
Work Schedule:
Flexibility to work overtime with the possibility of being assigned to a future split shift.
Compensation / Pay
Rate (Up to): $20.00 - $24.00
